I started a group for local Chiari Malformation patients in the East Texas area. I’d say mainly Angelina County, but the rarity of the disorder means I need to widen the borders to most of East Texas, probably north to Tyler but south to about Woodville…about an hour north, south, east and west of Lufkin, TX where I and 2 others with CM are located.
I hope to start off with some meet and greets within the group and travel north to Dallas to meet the group up there. Then once we get a few of us, branch out and do some meaningful things for the Chiari community if at all possible. Even if it only effects one life…I want to help.
If you’re on Facebook, please, look into the group, it’s closed, but I will accept anyone into the group with Chiari or parents of children with Chiari. You may not need support, but might be willing or able to help someone else in a similar experience to what you have with CM, no 2 CM patients are the same.
