Hello again…

Been a while since I last posted a blog, and it’s about time I rectified that.

These last couple months have been exciting to me, even if they seem lackluster to others.  I visited Tennessee again in September, met some great people and helped support Chiari Research by walking and raising some money.  I celebrated a year of relatively symptom free living from Chiari on the 21st this month.  I also started a new support group on Facebook for local Chiari patients recently.  In the tech/geek side of my life, I’ve been using the iPhone 4 (yep, jumped ship) and got a new laptop in recent months (HP/Win7).

Oh the things I wish I had the spare cash for

Yesterday my grandfather got his iPhone 4 in.  Today he got his iPad 3G in.  I’m pretty jealous.

Phones From a nerd’s POV

So, to start this off let me say that I’ve used the last 2 iPhones to try them out from friends and I still own the HTC Droid Eris and am currently using the Palm Pre +.

Apple iPhone4 (iOS4 – changed from iPhoneOS4)

The iPhone 4 was announced “officially” today.  It has some obvious upgrades, some will appreciate them, others won’t really care.  I have friends that use their iPhones in as many aspects as they can.  I have some people I know who don’t even use any apps.  They don’t even text….like my grandmother for instance.  She has an iPhone 3G and still asks me to update the Weather Channel app and download a flashlight app for her.  She’s THE last person I could ever think needing much less wanting an iPhone of any flavor.

Finally announced today.  About time.

I read through the live coverage of the event from www.gdgt.com today and was both impressed and sorta let down.
